Detailed Operation of the Steel Band Sawing Machine

Mar 21,2026

1.1 Preparation
Ensure that the saw blade matches the material to be cut. High-speed steel (HSS) saw blades are recommended, taking into account the material hardness and precision requirements. Check the lubrication system; the gearbox oil should be replaced annually. When the machine is not in use, apply an oil seal treatment to the guide rail surfaces. Also, verify the cleanliness and capacity of the coolant and hydraulic oil.

1.2 Cutting Procedure
After powering on the machine, secure the workpiece to the worktable using clamps or fixtures. Use the longitudinal/transverse guides to calibrate the cutting position. Advance the workpiece at a steady speed, ensuring the saw blade fully cuts through to the bottom of the material, then release the workpiece and immediately turn off the power. Once cutting is completed, promptly remove chips and apply lubricating oil to the key components of the sawing machine.

1.3 Maintenance Points
During operation, continuously monitor the equipment's status. If any abnormality occurs, immediately trigger the saw frame emergency stop or activate the shutdown protection. Regularly inspect the hydraulic oil level and coolant condition. Accumulated chips may affect the saw blade's service life; therefore, thoroughly clean the equipment after each day's work.
