Analysis of Core Performance Indicators for Rebar Straightening Machines

Apr 17,2026

The rebar straightening machine is an indispensable piece of equipment in construction and precast component production. Its performance is primarily determined by three key indicators: processing diameter, straightening accuracy, and cutting length tolerance.

First, the processing diameter is directly reflected in the numerical range of the machine model. For example, the GT4‑12 model can process rebar from 4 to 12 mm in diameter. A notable point is that many models have different maximum capacities for plain round bars (smooth steel bars) and deformed steel bars (rebar with ribs). Taking the YGT5‑14 CNC straightening machine as an example, it can process plain round bars up to 12 mm in diameter, but due to the increased straightening resistance caused by the surface ribs of deformed bars, its maximum capacity for deformed bars is only 10 mm. Therefore, users must verify the actual material type required when selecting a machine.

Second, straightening accuracy measures the straightness of the rebar after processing, commonly expressed as the amount of curvature per meter of length. For instance, “±2 mm/m” means that a one‑meter length of rebar is allowed to have a curvature deviation of plus or minus 2 mm. The smaller the value, the higher the straightness. In general, fully automatic CNC equipment can achieve better straightness than mechanical models.

Finally, cutting length tolerance is a core indicator of fixed‑length cutting precision. Conventional mechanical or semi‑automatic equipment, which suffers from mechanical backlash and material slippage, typically has a tolerance in the range of ±5 mm to ±10 mm. In contrast, high‑end machines that incorporate advanced CNC systems and servo control technology can achieve precise tolerances of ±1 mm or even ±0.1 mm, significantly improving product consistency and meeting the demanding requirements of high‑precision precast component production.

In summary, users should choose a rebar straightening machine that matches the material type, diameter range, and required precision of their rebar to achieve the best balance between efficiency and accuracy.
