CNC Steel Bar Stirrup Bending Machine: Application Range and Maintenance Guide

Mar 27,2026

With the advancement of construction industrialization, the CNC steel bar stirrup bending machine has become an indispensable piece of intelligent equipment in modern construction projects. Integrating functions such as straightening, fixed-length cutting, bending, and cutting, it is gradually replacing traditional manual operations with its high precision and high efficiency.

Wide Range of Applications

CNC steel bar stirrup bending machines are primarily suitable for processing steel bars with diameters ranging from 4 to 14 mm, including hot-rolled ribbed steel bars (HRB335, HRB400), cold-rolled ribbed steel bars, and plain round steel bars. In terms of engineering applications, these machines are found in virtually all large-scale infrastructure projects:

  • Transportation Infrastructure: Widely used in beam prefabrication yards and steel processing centers for high-speed railways and expressways. For example, in the Xiongxin High-Speed Railway project, CNC bending machines control processing errors within millimeter-level accuracy, providing precision assurance for the "backbone" of high-speed rail.

  • Civil and Commercial Buildings: Used on civil and commercial construction sites, large residential complexes, and commercial complexes for mass production of stirrups required for beams, columns, and floor slabs.

  • Water Conservancy and Energy Projects: In facilities such as reservoir dams and power stations that require large quantities of custom-shaped steel bars, these machines play a critical role due to their ability to bend more than a hundred complex shapes.

Key Maintenance Guidelines

To ensure equipment precision and extend service life, daily maintenance should focus on four key aspects: cleaning, lubrication, tightening, and protection.

  1. Daily Cleaning: After each shift, remove iron oxide scales, oil stains, and cutting debris from the equipment surface. This prevents foreign matter from entering the guide rails or transmission components, which could accelerate wear.

  2. Regular Lubrication: Apply lubricating oil that meets specifications to moving parts such as traction wheels, straightening wheels, and bearings at scheduled intervals. Proper lubrication not only reduces wear but also ensures processing quality.

  3. Pre-Operation Inspection: Before starting the machine, check whether connection bolts are loose, whether the cutting blade edge is intact, and whether there are any air leaks in the pneumatic system. Particularly for the pneumatic system, drain any accumulated water at the end of work shifts in low-temperature environments to prevent freezing and malfunction.

  4. Electrical Protection: Protect the control system's LCD screen from hard impacts. Regularly clean dust inside the electrical cabinet to prevent short circuits caused by metal dust accumulation.

In summary, the CNC steel bar stirrup bending machine is profoundly transforming traditional steel processing methods with its high precision, high efficiency, and high adaptability. Only by adhering to scientific use and maintenance practices can its "intelligent power" be fully realized, ensuring quality and reliability for various engineering projects.
